Sierra Flame Gas Fireplace Warranty

• Coverage Period:

  • 5 years for combustion chambers, heat exchangers, burners, and stainless steel parts (against tarnishing).
  • 1 year for electrical (110V and millivolt) components and wearable parts (e.g., blowers, gas valves, switches, remote controls, igniters, gaskets, glass, pilot assemblies).

• Who’s Covered: Original purchaser only (non-transferable).

• Installation Requirements:

  • Must be installed by a licensed, authorized technician.
  • Installation must comply with the included instructions and local/national building and fire codes.

• Warranty Includes:

  • Free replacement of defective parts during the first year (for covered parts).
  • Sierra Flame will repair or replace defective parts under the 1-year warranty if the product is used under normal conditions.

• Exclusions:

  • Damages caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, alterations, abuse, or neglect.
  • Parts from other manufacturers will void the warranty.
  • Scratches, dents, corrosion, discoloring from excessive heat, abrasives, or chemical cleaners.
  • Damages from non-certified venting components or installations.
  • Problems caused by environmental conditions (e.g., downdrafts, spillage due to venting, insufficient air).
  • Damages caused by water, weather, condensation, or harmful chemicals/cleaners.
  • Installation, labor, or transportation costs are not covered.

• Warranty Coverage After Year 1:

  • After 1 year, Sierra Flame may provide a refund of the wholesale price of defective parts instead of a replacement.

• Warranty Limitations:

  • Sierra Flame is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (except where required by law).
  • Warranty is void if the product is used with unapproved parts or improper venting configurations.

• Returning Defective Parts:

  • Faulty gas units/parts must be returned to Sierra Flame for inspection.
  • Carrier tracking information is required for return.
  • Only manufacturer-defective parts will be credited.

• Documentation Needed for Claims:

  • The bill of sale, serial number, and model number are required for all warranty claims.

• Inspection:

  • Sierra Flame reserves the right to inspect the product or part before honoring any warranty claim.

Shipping & Freight Claims Policy

We take great care in ensuring that your order is delivered promptly and in perfect condition. However, in the event that damage or shortages occur during shipping, please follow the guidelines below:

Freight Claims Guidelines:

• Inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery: If you notice any visible damage or shortage, please make a note on the delivery receipt and inform the carrier at the time of delivery. You must specify whether the shipment is accepted or refused.
• Concealed Damage: If you discover damage after the delivery has been made, please keep the product and packaging intact and contact the carrier immediately to report the damage. Request an inspection from the carrier.
• Claim Process: If filing a claim for damage or shortage, you will need to provide evidence that the carrier received the shipment in good condition. You must also provide details of what was damaged or missing and the value of the lost or damaged items.
• Claim Deadline: All claims must be reported to the carrier within 15 days of receipt (unless otherwise specified).
• Invoice Payment: Your invoice must be paid in full before the carrier will review any claims.
• Keep the Packaging: In the event of damage, the carrier will require you to keep the damaged product and all packaging until the claim is processed.

Returns:

• Returns are only accepted for products that are still in unopened, factory-sealed packaging and must be requested within 7 days of receipt.
• Return Authorization: Returns must be approved by us. To request a return, please submit a Return Request Form.
• Return Shipping Costs: All returns must be shipped back at the customer's expense.
• Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all authorized returns.
• Condition of Return: Returns will only be accepted in "brand new" condition. Any returns that are not in brand new condition will not be refunded.
